The Friday before last, I went with mom to Charleston. I'm a sucker for history, and South Carolina's pretty historic in the down town area. So while she was off doing her Carnival Cruise inspection, I made a weekend of it. Here are a few pictures I've got. This is the roof of a pub called the Blind Tiger. I love the old decor of it. My inner ID freaked happily.
This is right along Queen Street, I think.
This is a bar called the Squeeze. It's eleven feet wide. The bartenders were SUPER nice and actually encouraged me to get as many good pictures as I could. Thanks guys!
Charleston is famous for their intricate Ironwork. So when I passed this gate, I had to.
And this was inside of a Bar called Social; it features work ALL OVER the place done exclusively by local artists
.
A lovely sunset silhouetting the block
Dungeons?! I love Dungeons! Dungeons all around!
Down at the Harbor, there was a lovely fountain. There was a Tall Ship with a bunch of drunk people on it screaming. Then they fired a cannon and I just about collapsed in shock. Curse that Phobia...needless to say, I quickly walked as far away from the Habor as my tiny blistered feet could carry me.
