The sun is shining. Whilst thunder rumbles in the not-so-distance.

I do love this state.

I just know someone in Ontario is evoking Huey. Cut it out! Seriously, I can't see my house and it's 200 feet away. Or less.

...that my LJ friends in Maryland, Delaware, and Philly have got all my snow. Seriously, are you trying to start a new ski industry down there? (Fine, okay, do that, but no stealing our mountains.)

Last month? Almost 10 inches of rain in Montpelier.
So far this month? 5.23 inches, including 1.8 inches in AN HOUR YESTERDAY.

I am amazed that my entire garden has not just rotted off at the soil line. The plants have got to be drowning...

We had storms yesterday afternoon, reminiscent of good ol' Midwestern thunderstorms, complete with tornado watch. No hail in my neck of the woods (though I haven't been up to the community gardens yet), but lots of wind, and some seriously driving rain. I hope my pea fences are still vertical ( Read more... )

Why are you inside?

Two weeks ago, we had a stretch of subzero weather and the river froze over.

Today, it was almost 50 above zero and all the ice went down the river.

Yay, January thaw!
