Location: Sasebo Japan

Well I remembered that I forgot to post about going at visting Joe Sillybaugh. Boy I tell you it was quite the trip. It was some 5 hrs and change to get from Sasebo to Iwakuni, thats even taking a bullet train for 2 hours. So who else can say they traveled alone for 5+ hrs to visit a friend for only a weekend let alone in a foreign country.

So anyway it felt great just to see a familiar face. It was like being home for 24 hours. We caught up on things. It was good. Make me home sick'ish but it felt better to see a friend again.

I got done with TAP (Transition Assistance Program) class today. Only got 30 some days left. Sweet sweet music to my ears.

It's started to really sink in that I'll be back home soon. About how much my life will change. I'm quite confident that everything will be okay.

And on a final note... I've had a lot of not de-javu but like a modified da-javu. A lot of things that happened the holiday season of 02-03' is happening now. Here is some examples

~ In 02-03 the ship was in dry dock to get fixed and we were moved to the berthing barge. The Ship is now in SRA (getting fixed) and we're living on a berthing barge.

~ In 02-03 I met FN Desiderio while cranking. I bumped into him about a week ago now that he's changed jobs in the Navy to basics military police.

~ In 02-03 I was planning on coming home for the first time to surprise Kelly. Now I'm coming home for the final time.

So I'm trying to look at how things were then and now and I'm noticing that all the bad things and good things that have happened are now opposite. So I'm expecting something noticeably bad to happen right before I'm out. Because that would line up with what happened last time when Kelly and I broke up.

It's so close to that quote "History repeats it self" So I hope I learned enough the first time to get it right this time.
