This debacle has been helpful, though, in exposing the Republican platform. It's puzzling that the GOP has so lost contact with anything remotely resembling politics and economics--and anything rational....The party seems consumed with the idea of disciplining women: anyone who speaks for the Republicans comes across as a sexually frustated old man looking to find some way of wreaking revenge on young women for being beyond their reach or abilities.
Limbaugh's limp, flaccid apology only underscores it: he certainly couldn't manage to be as passionate and forceful about his allegedly regret as he was enthusiastic about his sexual fantasies about Fluke, including his wish to watch her in a sex tape.
He's pervert, period. And the poster boy for misogyny.

Alternative energy? Rebuilding infrastructure? Controlling outsourcing? International relations? National security?
Any of those ring a bell? No? Okay--let's get back to beating up on women by denying them rights; apparently that's the winning strategy and the most important issue in the campaign.
