Who is that Dead Guy in Godric's Hollow?

Aug 02, 2011 04:41

Stn5 posted the YouTube below from ThinkHeroTV, and it's a really great review - good stuff about Draco's awkward hug with Voldemort and praise for Alan Rickman.
But hilarity comes from the guy in the video has never read the books, so his comments about James in Godric's Hollow are, shall we say, priceless.

And before someone tells me that I'm tearing down someone else's fandom or just bashing James, let me repeat that this post is about the Deathly Hallows Part Two MOVIE. And the fact is, WB chose to portray James this way with JKR's blessing, so everyone was on the same page. And let's face it, the emotional structure of the books and the movies does not revolve around James!

Starts about 12:40:

Interviewer: With Snape and Lily, he has loved her his entire life. They were very good friends, but they never dated. But he's loved her, and really only her his entire life.

Movie Guy: See, that's the thing with that storyline, we get that sense of Lily and Snape, and for Harry. We hear about Lily all the time, his mother. His Dad is kind of just an afterthought. (laughter) When he showed up in that one scene where they're all like ghosts or whatever, and it was like who the F-- is this guy over here on the side? I don't even know his name.
