[Snark Alert ~ Please Read This Entry With a Sense of Humor, Please]
These are quite . . . interesting! WB has decided to overlook the magical and fantasy aspects of DH One in favor of three posters that stress the "urban grittiness" of the story.
I wonder what all of you think of Ron's poster in particular. All I thought when I saw it was "OMG ~ Chernobyl!" I guess that's a clue that when we see nuclear towers in the movie we should realize they are NOT SAFE!!! As if nuclear plants were ever safe. Don't they realize the younger generation has grown up with The Simpsons? And even my generation had Three Mile Island and The China Syndrome. Of course, Ron would be the kind of kid to stumble into a nuclear meltdown.
LOL
Then again, I guess Hermione is in front of the Tower Bridge and the Tower of London to remind us of all the times she studied for History of Magic - oh well. That may be a stretch, but then again, the Tower of London has always been NOT SAFE! It's full of . . . ghosts! And . . . ravens, ZOMG! And just Towers in general - omg, a 911 connection! And that last movie - remember what happened to Dumbledore? Stay out of Towers, children!
And Harry isn't safe from those modern hi-rise buildings either! The Horror! Or is that Grimmauld Place there? Now what dangerous thing happens to them at Grimmauld Place? I know - Dumbledore's impotent ghost jumps out at them, and they find Lily's picture in Sirius's bedroom. That's horrible! But it could also be Kreacher! He's NOT SAFE! No wait, maybe he is! But then again, they can't give away anything as SPOILER. There's always a chance that Kreacher will turn around and put poison in the steak and kidney pie!
I'm beginning to understand why we haven't seen the Silver Doe yet. In spite of the fact that some scenes were filmed out in the country on location, and the fact that fans understand a certain amoung of camping in the woods is involved in the stories, WB is going to great lengths it seems to show us that the film is going to be "different."
Oooooo ~ And Scary Blood Splotches Too! NOT SAFE!
