Here we go again. Ravenstar has updated her Essay to include quotes. In addition to including those that say "Lily is a bitch" they now include much less innocuous quotes from myself and others, gleaned from my Lily's Hypocrisy Essay Thread on Harry Potter Network.

Lily had faults. I don't know why it's so tough to accept that.

Lily was Snape's best friend; she knew he had a brush with death; she can't be bothered to ask him how he is and I get answers like, she saw he was fine, why should she ask him??!!!

I don't know which best friend would not even care to enquire when their friend had a brush with death.

IMO it's not Snape fans who have a problem; it's the Lily fans and the Marauders fans who have a huge problem, because sadly for them, their heroes are not up to the mark. Sirius sends off people to meet werewolves; James hexes people because they exist, Remus does not care a DE was inside Hogwarts and almost got to Harry; he still will not help Dumbledore with the information Sirius was an animagus; Peter went on to be DE and betray his good friends, who went on to betray Remus.

In the middle of it all Lily who knows Snape was calling other muggles mudblood, suddenly revolts against the same word said to her in a moment of stress and utter humiliation.

I am not to call her hypocrite?! Why? Because I should be happy that Lily stops being friends with such racist people.

Please! I'm asking exactly the same thing. Why did not Lily stop being friends with this racist boy when she first hear the word mudblood from his mouth? Was his racism okay then? And intolerable when it came to herself?

Sorry! Then Lily IMO is very much a hypocrite. Her breaking off with Snape has nothing to do with her ATTITUDE towards a racist name which Snape used on others. If Lily was angry because Snape swore at her, I'd understand it; if Lily was angry when she stalked off the first time she heard Snape use that word, I would not call her hypocrite, but when Lily is okay with Snape calling others racist names and yet she gets up, on a moral high when it's used against her, I'm sorry she not in the right. I see that break up only as an excuse to get rid off Snape as her friend. The reasons may be interpreted differently (I, for example think she [B][I]LOVED [/I][/B]Snape very much, please note it; but was also falling for James and she chose James over Snape. Love over friendship and that's it).

I also think I am entitled to my view. I will not write essays against those FANS who think Lily is the best and the Marauders were right in all their actions and call them names, for I believe it is their opinion. I will totally disagree with them, though. If they want to label Snape Fans and call us names, well :shrug: it's their prerogative.
