ACK! I don't wanna be a Bridezilla!

Finding a place for our reception that fits all our minimal (or so I thought) requirements that's still in our budget is NOT EASY!! ACK ACK ACK. I thought Old Town Hall was perfect, until I talked to our caterer and realized that he needs a more complete kitchen setup (read: oven) to be able to catch the wedding and still have everything heated and ready when the guests arrive for dinner. (Because he's not just a caterer; he's a friend and a guest too!) He told me about a place in Coralville that he'd gone to for another friend's wedding last year, and a little creative sleuthing (along with help from Jolene!) turned up North Ridge Pavilion in Coralville. I wonder if we're considered "residents" if we live in Iowa City? Or do you have to be a Coralville resident? God I hope not! We may still be able to swing it, although I'm getting tired of all this. I'm starting to think that maybe I should just ask my parents if they can bring along their big ol' tent/pavilion thing and set it up on one of the electricity-provided camping sites at Kent Park, and we can do the reception there! Table and chair rentals have just GOTTA be cheaper than the $100-$300 we'd be spending elsewhere for a reception site...

So. We may be postponing our honeymoon until sometime next year, because Gabe just found out yesterday that his boss is "retiring" from Jimmy John's to go run his second coffee shop, which is opening in November. Jayson (Gabe's boss) is going to recommend to Corporate that they promote Gabe to the Store Manager position. This would happen..oh...around September. So yeah...Gabe would be going to Manager Training for a couple weeks, and then he'd come back and start getting the hang of running the place. We figure...that'll take until at least the end of October, middle of November, somewhere around there. So we may have to just wait until next summer, when I'll have accumulated 2 weeks of paid vacation (and Gabe gets his two weeks of paid vacation) and we'll just do the traveling then! It's something to look into, at least...maybe we'll just do a baby honeymoon right after the wedding to tide us over..stay in a whirlpool suite at a hotel in town for a couple days or something. Dunno.

Anyway, babskewl33, here are your pictures!

Now I'm going to go fret some more. Wheeeee!
