......

*whew* okay. That's better. Right. This will be a super-quick entry, because I have to jet for work in about 8 minutes.

sibelle_art, if you happen to catch this post, I have a very important and special and kinda weird request for a favor...could you email me? *bats eyes appealingly*

We've decided to have the reception for our wedding at the Heartland Inn on the Coralville Strip, for a few reasons: 1) It's the easiest to find that is also on a direct route from Kent Park (you go straight from one to the other on Hwy 6...can't get much easier than that!) 2) It has a room that will hold 50 people (the other, closer hotels on Hwy 6 didn't have a room that would fit that many) 3) There will probably be several wedding guests already staying at the Heartland Inn, since it's a good deal for your money, hotel-wise. And 4) The reservation of the reception room is only $75, includes complimentary coffee and water, tables and chairs, setup and takedown, and use of the swimming pool (o.O odd but cool)! I got in touch with my brother (finally! Oy, my family can be so hard to get ahold of sometimes) and he said he'd love to DJ, has all the speakers, lights, and sound equipment necessary, and will be sending me the paperwork shortly so that Gabe and I can pick songs and stuff. We'll be heading out to the Heartland Inn on Thursday to give the room a once-over (to make sure it'll be suitable) and then, hopefully, reserve it. I already confirmed that the 15th of July is still open. *whew*

I shipped off my iPod Shuffle today...Best Buy's return policy had a little loophole in it that I'm sure they thought was incredibly clever...the mailing label that you HAVE TO USE to return the item for reimbursement/replacement does not allow you to have Delivery Confirmation of any kind attached to the package...and yet on the phone, they emphasized that I really should have delivery confirmation of some sort. EEEEeeeenteresting. I was just going to pay the postage myself (since the label makes it so no postage is necessary if mailed in the US), but then I wouldn't have been able to use the mailing label that Best Buy INSISTED I MUST USE. How clever of the little fuckers. So I asked our postman (who's a bundle of total awesomeness..I can't even count the number of times he's helped me out with odd shipping requests!!) if there was anything I could add to this package that would cause it to be tracked and its delivery to be registered with the post office. He thought about it for a second and said, "Well...you could insure it?" AHA!! Insuring a package for $100 or more (and coincidentally, $100 is how much I paid for that iPod) requires the recipient to sign for the package, which is duly registered with the Post Office! EUREKA!! So I insured the package for $100, and I can just check with the Post Office later this week to see if it's been received, at which point I can begin counting down until I get my Best Buy gift card. Whee!!

Gabe warned me I wasn't getting enough fat in my diet. What an incredibly odd thing to think about! "OMG I need to eat more fat!!" His warning was particularly dire, since he pointed out that not getting enough Omega-3 Fatty Acids and other healthy fats would decrease my brain function, effectively turning me into one of those ditzy college wenches I so despise!! That got my immediate attention. So now I'm trying to pay attention to the mono- and polyunsaturated fats in my foods (I hadn't noticed, but most of the food I eat these days is either incredibly low-fat, or completely fat-free. Not good. I DO need more fat! *gasp*)

Okay, time for me to jet off to work. *pant pant* Toodle-pip, y'all!!
