My life has been different lately. Although 2015 was an unpleasant year it was, as near as I can tell, mostly part of the healing process. I was recently asked to analyze cycles in my life and, as best as I can tell, the cycle may well have been broken. I believe I have moved past previous limitations to empower myself to better things.
Money and education are becoming increasingly predominant concerns. I have to continue making sure I increase the flow in while limiting unnecessary expenses as much as possible. I have looked over my budget from last month and think that I can cut a significant amount of the fat out. I also plan to begin working on a Health Services Management degree starting with the Fall semester, once I have everything in order and the new system at Johns Hopkins Hospital has been implemented.
I’m not too worried about this subject, as I feel I have everything well in hand and know that my expenses have significantly reduced while my income has increased, but it is and should remain a subject at the forefront of my thoughts.
People I met at Jenni’s birthday party on Sunday:
Lee- Jenni’s mother. Very warm and sweet. Intelligent.
Larry - Jenni’s father. Cordial. Quiet and withdrawn. Really likes the cats.
Katie- Stephanie’s older sister. Seemed to have a well balanced mix of spirited playfulness and polite maturity.
Natalie- Dark hair, larger build. A little bit surly, but not rude.
Jessica- Kind, enthusiastic by slightly withdrawn. A bit overshadowed by the showy antics of her husband, Mark.
Mark- Good attitude. Definitely likes being the center of attention and being thought of as ‘the fun party guy’, but does not posture or impose.
Kevin- Drinking heavily, so hard to get a good read. Jovial demeanor, seemed like a good sport. Passed out on the couch. Should have glitter bombed him, got distracted.. and I suppose it wasn’t my party.
Ann- Very strong personality. Interactions with her were a little awkward, as she seemed to mistakenly assume for some reason that I was uncomfortable around strange people. Also engaged in a political discussion where I found her views to be rather one sided and imposing. Still left with me a general positive impression, however.
Rhiannon- One of Ann’s teenage daughters. Pretty, insightful and engaging.
Sarah- One of Ann’s teenage daughters. Socially awkward but charmingly nerdy. Called me “Tuxedo Mask”, which I certainly didn’t mind.
(Brother, sister-in-law and young nieces were also present. I didn’t interact with them much, as they arrived late when I was dealing with some allergy issues and I had already exhausted most of my outgoing social energy. I don’t enjoy the company of toddlers in general and their children were not exceptions)
