Cats, Adoration, Passion

Friday

After staying late to work on the massive protocol document for work I went to Roger & Claire's milonga. I danced with someone whose name I unfortunately forgot as well as a full tanda with Claire and Annie. I feel like I need more practice before I got to the next milonga, however. I have the general flow of dancing down but I would like to be able to through a few more "moves" in there to make it more interesting for myself and my partners. I will be doing this.

Met:
Hitomi- We didn't speak beyond introductions. Somewhat older, asian appearance, very friendly.

Saturday

Spellbound was mostly marvelous. Met a few people, hung out with some friends. Danced with Maeve.

Met:
Stephanie- Kurtis's new intimate companion, already elevated to fiancé status. Stephanie was absolutely wonderful. A great mix of intelligence, spunk, principle and passion. She seems perfect for him.
Dovema- Large, tall -man? May have female gender identity. We didn't speak much, but Dovema was pleasant enough. Usually dresses glamorously, so I am told.
Elena- Elegant attire, cordial but distant. Seemed put-off when I complimented her cleavage window; not at all a good sign, but I will withhold judgement.
Nicholas- Small, long haired industrial 'baby-bat'. Happy-friendly. Prefers the intimate company of men.

Sunday

Fighting practice followed by '50 Shades of Shakespeare' at the Bier Baron. Their troupe had great stage presence, but I have to admit that I would have preferred that more than one of the performers not be in the 'body positive' category. I'm sure they would think me shallow and terrible for that.

Clementine's rendition of Shylock's "Do we not bleed?" soliloquy sent chills up my spine.

The poutine at the Bier Baron was the best I have ever had. Their mac & cheese was not worth ordering again.

My keytar arrived. It has 264 instruments programmed into it. I am enthralled.
