Life in Hi-Def

May 08, 2007 00:59

My parents went out, and after years of me begging, finally got an HDTV. The only problem is it's in their bedroom, meaning I have to pounce to watch certain programs. I also have to navigate around my sister's constant need to fill the entire screen, even if it means fucking the aspect ratio. A part of me thinks she does it to annoy me. So, non-spoiler-ey things I noticed while watching HD tonight.

-- Hugh Laurie looks amazing in HD, part of me worried he would look old or tired. I have nothing to worry about. His eyes are the deepest shade of blue I have ever seen. I could get lost in those eyes.

-- Jesse Spencer looks even more amazing with all the extra detail. His hair shines more, his smile looks brighter... He looks so much more alive.

-- Jennifer Morrison has flawless skin. I could not believe how perfect she is. Jesse you lucky guy. Did I mention they're my OTP? (random note, I looked her up on Wikipedia to spell her name properly, and I read she named Battlestar Galactica as one of her favorite shows. Wouldn't have guessed that. Double that, I went to look at Jesse's wikipedia page, and BSG is one of his favorite shows too. Hee!)

-- Heroes just looks amazing.

-- Hayden has great hair.

-- Zachary Quinto has some massive eyebrows. Those things creeped me out. Now I get why Sylar is so evil.

-- Mmm. Milo... Mmmm.

-- I found the Mac/PC commercials even funnier in Hi-Def (yes they're broadcast in HD).

-- Elizabethtown was almost watchable, and I was almost able to stomach Orlando's bizarre American accent. (He looked pretty FYI)

Expect more mindless musings as I watch more and more of my shows in HD. Expect thoughts about American Idol, The Office, Lost, and Grey's Anatomy.

lost, hdtv, grey's anatomy, orlando bloom, heroes, elizabethtown, the office (us), house, american idol
