Happy No-Fletcher Day!

Nov 07, 2007 06:42

Congratulations to those of you living in Kentucky! Ernie Fletcher, that Rat Bastard, has been voted out!
I'm embarrassed to say I didn't send in my absentee ballot, but hey, if the Dems couldn't win without me... oi. That man was an embarrassment. You have to be really afraid we're all out to kill babies to elect Fletcher again.
(Seriously, he even looked evil. If you saw the man walking down the street, you'd strongly consider walking to the other side. How he ever got into a restaurant, let alone office, is beyond me.)

In other news... I got to sleep! Like 6 whole hours! I managed to do this by not going home!
Dinner last night turned out fairly tasty, although I don't think I'll ever make ... whatever kind of squash I bought again. It was not so tasty. Actually, it was interesting, and I mixed brown sugar in, so it was totally edible, but it definitely had a weird sourness to it. I feel like there's a way to make that flavor work, but I don't know if it's with sour cream or in a soup or what. The other squash, which was a sweet dumpling squash, was apparently delicious, but by that point I was too full, as had already eating salad and curry. I made a red mustard curry with red and yellow peppers, shiitake mushrooms, and cauliflower, which turned out fairly well. It seems like all my curries taste similar, and that's no surprise, but I have no idea how to make good indian curry. Like Korma sauce. The fuck?

I also got to see maybe a quarter of Millenium Actress, which was good, albeit bizarre, but then of course I inevitably fell asleep.

I've temporarily solved my apartment space problem by just keeping my bike at Aaron's. Aaron's bike, of course, still not fixed, so I think he'll be spending more time on my bike than me for the foreseeable future. And that's irritating, but eh.
He totally took my bike out. And played around with my seat post. That bastard.
Tomorrow it's supposed to be partly cloudy and over 50, which I think means getting on the bike, provided I can figure a bit more out in the way of gear. Ahn has promised me some warm things. Sweet!

Anyways, I have to get with the mad filing. In other news, illegally hot guy has returned to work. And according to Jeff, he is "a good thing to have in your inbox."
