I didn't like this week's Glee. (Or any Glee really, since the first few eps. I like the songs and I love Sue, but the show completely fucked with the potential it could have had in favor of cracky jokes and over-the-top unrealistic storylines.)
I did however finally LOVE Supernatural again. I think it's simple.
No Campbells = Good episode. The deaths were really, really, REALLY disgusting and I made the mistake of having my dinner while watching, and yeah... how I wished they wouldn't lift the cop's hat. Yoinks!
But it finally felt like the show was back. Sam and Dean were fun to watch. Dean's digs at the car, Dean racing him and winning! Cas destroying Sam's car! Hahaha! And oooh, with all the fanfic clichés we're getting lately (Sam's so good, the hooker would pay him. Cas has a really strong bond with Dean. - But hah, too funny when he was all "what? You thought I came because you called?" Because yes. No admitting it in front of Sam. I get it Cas. ;) )... it won't be long before we get the body swap ep after all. ;)
I do like war in heaven and more angels astray. I'm not so sure about Raphael's minions in their suits, but I like Balthazar (or however you spell it). He reminded me a lot of Gabriel, so it's kind of canon that even angels sometimes just do want to have fun. And they can have it. No Ken doll jokes.
Also, hah, so much for all the "But I want Dean shirtless, too, god dammit" wank pre-episode. *re* Once again, loved the parallelism of the boys in the beginning. I also love that Dean dreams about Lisa, even if when he actually slept next to her, it didn't much feel like 'yay, sex'. But hey, Ben's around, breakfast to make, jobs to go to. I get it. Also, yay for him calling Ben to be a father. I really like domestic!Dean. He deserves to have this.
Sam should save his money and go hook up with someone at a bar. What the hell? His motel also looked fancy. And then the car? He's so far off the grid, I wouldn't put a bank robbery or some other type of serious fraud past him. Though maybe he's getting bankrolled by the Campbells and their secret boss.
I read a fic a few days ago, about how for Sam, hell wasn't getting tortured, it was being worshiped and adored, and how in a way, this was even worse. I had to think about it now, when Sam tried telling Dean hell was different for him. It also would explain his cold detachedness.
As for him and grandpa being back, I still think one of them was a mistake. They wanted Samuel, descendant of the Campbell's, maybe used some blood or other genetics material (of the cousins) to perform the ritual, and somehow they got both of them back. I'd even put my money on grandpa, and Sam Winchester was the side effect. - Then again, with Raphael wanting the apocalypse back, maybe he got Sam out and thought it would already be enough if the vessels fight it out.
