Awesome new show: The Following. The characters are all complex and interesting, the casting is awesome (I especially adore Natalie Zea) and they have really good music. Also, it's violent without being flashy-gory or disgusting, like so many of the other shows currently on air. I've had quite enough of that. (On that note, I think I'll just delete the few unwatched Banshee episodes I still have and drop the show without second chance.) The Following is also really dark and "grown-up" seeing how it's from Kevin Williamson. (Who always does great TV, but, well, it's usually CW-TV.)
I am also so happy with Supernatural lately. Last episode especially. It was so old-school! All of the Wincest and the looks and the love! And god am I happy to see Dean happy again! Yes, he obviously still got issues, they adressed them even, but he's just generally out of his 'just let it be over' funk. I pray they won't blow up that bunker. I love domestic!boys! It's like in fanfic! Dean nesting, cooking, decorating and Sam being happy about it. (They even called it nesting!) And Dean declined sex with the girl. If that doesn't finally spark new Wincest, I don't know what will.
I just also love how they're both okay and talking about their feelings, and they both admitted they'd die for the other, because they want to see the other one live happily ever after. Now they just need to acknowledge that neither of them will ever be truly happy if the other is dead or worse, died for them. (Again.)
The only thing I didn't like too much was that the crossroads demon in charge was supposedly Crowley himself, who didn't even show up. Also, remember the episode with the other crossroads demon, where they killed all the deal-signers prematurely and Crowley got all angry and insisted on sticking to the rules? (I think it was the crap one with Becky?) He shouldn't be signing deals without telling folks about the consequences.
But yeah, whatever. Dean's happy face and Sam's adoring looks, and the almost-double bed in the barn... *happy squee*
... Ugh, LJ, where's the 'switch to old version' button? I hate this fond and I have no idea what they mean with the 'screening'. But I assume filtering is done via 'security'? I also do not want to load ALL of my frigging userpics when I chose (especially when I'm at work like right now). I named them properly.
eta: The Life of Riley's final sheduled StageIt show is this Saturday, so if you've always been considering, last chance. :)
eta2: I just found out that One More Shot, that music con, will be on the same weekend, at the same location (Hilton, Birmingham) as Starfury's 50-years-Doctor-Who convention. So I assume OMS will be really, really small.
