Happy Boxing Day!
Hooray! The holidays are over! I think they went very well. Yesterday Anna and I took over Christmas Dinner by substituting it with a wild New Mexican dinner of frito pies, chili, chilequiles, pineapple mango margaritas, and flan. Everyone got completely trashed, my mother was the most trashed of all (delightful/horrifying) and at one point yelled out "To make matters worse, I'm becoming incontinent!" and at another went into a riveting and graphic description of giving birth to Anna, and began it with "One time I broke water". Oy. Her friend Anna (my most favorite of the Leverett Moms) also accosted me and accused me of going to smoke weed without her in front of both of my parents. Mexican christmas is SO FAR SUPERIOR to snobby british shit food christmas. NO MEAT PIES EVER.
Anna and I are housesitting for the next week, before I move into my apartment in Turners Falls. The house has a hot tub outside, so I just sat outside in the woods in a hot tub all morning nursing my hangover. The dogs are awesome.
It is actually becoming cold outside. I'm almost surprised.
