I really wanted to share something with you, but my digital camera has lost the will to live. Maybe another time. I just wanted to show off an art book which my dad bought me when I was 7-years-old. It wasn't a colouring book, but an adult way of drawing 'anything'. Yeah right. After a few goes, gived the book up. And now I want to try again.
Art is my life. I was born with the gift. Part of my gift is drawing plants, that is probably the easiet because I don't have to struggle to get the detail (can't explain clearly). Another gift is drawing satire, I love making laugh by art, and adding captions with it! And the last gift is period drama characters! Oh yes, the costumes, the wigs and the over the top wrinkles!
Last night I was trying to draw Jon Stewart. I gave myself a big big big big big big challenge to do with Jon Stewart,
this picture was a nightmare, I made him look older than he is! Drawing noses are hard, I usually make them ugly and big. For Jon's I managed to turn him into the bogey man. The face outlines, well, let's say that I'm getting there.
I would really like to draw a self portrait of myself, from a photo which I'm in. After that, a much more better picture of Jon Stewart, this time I'll draw
this and
this, shade them with my art pencils. If I'm not successful, it won't matter, at least I tried my best.
