And to get the important news out of the way....
I got engaged yesterday! :)
The wedding is planned to be in September, hopefully the 15th but it will depend on where we're actually going to have it, because of course if they can't do the 15th we'll have to pick a different date... but September is a definite. =)
And because I'm fickle I changed my mind about an engagement ring. Didn't want one initially (I'm not much of a ring-wearer and I'm notoriously picky about my jewellery), but when Kash said she'd pop by next week to come and see the ring I realised I'd get millions of people asking to see it, leaving me to either explain a million times why I didn't want one or to just avoid the hassle and give them something to see. =p This way also Chris won't get a reputation for being a cheapskate by not buying me one. It's white gold with tiny tiny diamonds (I get all cross-eyed when I try to count them, that's how tiny) and it's pretty and it was cheapish, so it's all good. And just to still be slightly contrary I'm wearing it on my middle finger, not my ring finger. (Explanation for that one: I have two rings at the moment. One I'm not bothered about getting rid of, but the other is my silver The One Ring which STAYS. As I positively loathe wearing two rings on one finger, my One Ring will take up one ring finger and my wedding ring will go on my other ring finger, I don't have any ring fingers left for my engagement ring, hence it's on my middle finger.)
Anyway, enough about rings. Next will be five months of o.O omg HOW much are they asking us to pay for that?!?!?!!!
