Interesting journey home...

Not super eventful, but interesting nonetheless. I caught the 5pm bus home, sat facing the back as it was rather packed and spent the jouney sort of staring zombie-like into nothingness while listening to my MP3 player. Nothing special really. Then there was this almighty bang which literally sounded like a gunshot, and it took me a few seconds to register that the back window was completely shattered and had a rather big hole in it (I was still thinking gunshot here - Nottingham's a pretty violent city to British standards). It then took me another few seconds to register the big, bent bar-thing sticking out the side of the bus, which turned out to be the remnants of the wing-mirror of the coach that just pulled out from behind us. I initially thought that he'd hit us from behind and had left his wing-mirror embedded into the back of the bus, but instead he'd somehow managed to impale it through the side of the bus, in the bit between the back and the last side window. Quite impressive really.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, everyone had to get off the bus and catch the next one of course, so all in all it took me about twice as long as normal to get home. >.
