I love this fill. I also like how Lobelia is self-centered yet relatable at the same time.

I chuckled at the details about the cufflinks, the lost hobbit asking for Mabel, and then Juni trying to become Lobelia's apprentice in burglary. Thank you very much for sharing.

Thanks for reading. Whenever I write less popular/nice characters I always try for that since I figure no one thinks of themself as bad so I'm glad that came across.

People keep saying that to me about my crackfics so I'm going to keep assuming they're tears of laughter and take it as a compliment.

Thanks for reading.

OP of the prompt here.

I really enjoyed reading this! Especially Lobelia trying to get the best out of the situation for herself by bargaining down those cufflinks (and earning the dwarf's respect) was great. I loved that what finally made Lobelia give up was being admired by Tooks! XD

Glad you enjoyed it.

And I figured if anything would be the last straw for someone like her it would be that.

Oh my goodness, what a clever and delightful story. Poor Lobelia, defeated by a door! *giggles*

But not just any door, a magic door and that makes all the difference.

I have to admit I have a weakness for writing Lobelia even though I don't do it very often so thanks for reading.

This is hilarious! I have always thought that Gandalf's mark was a chancy thing, back before the movie when it was just a few faint scratches. But in the film the use of magic to make it glow gave it a whole new meaning!

And I love Lobelia in this. You have perfectly caught her attitude of high dudgeon and outraged Respectibility!

I actually have a weird fondness for Lobelia, she's not actually in that many fics of mine but I do tend to throw her in whenever appropriate. She's just so much fun to write.
