That's what I am.
Sooooo o.k.
Living in Chicago is nice.
My area is good and the rent is ridiculously good.
I'm currently unemployed but may have a management job at Boston Market within a couple of weeks.
I had an interview today which went well but have to meet next week for an exam and training i guess.
I'm looking forward to income... no matter what. And honestly, I can handle it, it's not a bad job at all.
So hopefully I start that soon for about $10/hr. and with benefits... srsly... i've never had those. ha.
Last night,
Joel and I visited his friend who is just a couple stops south of us (we're super close to the train)
then went to "EXIT"... it's the only hip punk/goth bar I know of and dig but drink prices suck there.
I love walking around randomly. Even if it's not the best neighborhood. I have no trouble. Yet.
I like finding things along the way and reading in to the fact that I found them on a completely unplanned venture.
I like making art in my place since it's a basement which means it's where any messy artist would love to live...
I like that I actually didn't bother to kill the baby centipede I saw here earlier today
even if they're terrifying, they're my little soldier bugs... combating worse bugs.
I love that in the next couple of months I will be seeing these bands here for relatively cheap:
CURSIVE
CRYSTAL CASTLES
BLACK MOTH SUPER RAINBOW
and possibly one or more of these...
BEEP BEEP
FREEZEPOP
SEBASTIAN TELLIER
DEATH CAB
THE DAN BAND
IRON & WINE
BIRTHDAY MASSACRE
well.. maybe. so long as i can afford to live (etc) first. heh.
For the first day, I'm excited for my future in this new place.
:)
