lovely beautiful wonderful chapter!!! it all makes a lot more sense now we know the story behind arthur's inability to let his wife go. also i'm so glad that things seem to finally be working out for merlin - he really is a saint to have put up with everything so far!!
i had a feeling that the gwen before is a bit like merlin. very caring, understanding and maybe also a saint. it was too bad she had to endure the hardship in the past. even she cannot remember anymore she still gave her approval for arthur and merlin's relationship. that could change everything even the awkwardness between those two. and, uther also tried to compensate for what he did to gwen. i almost cried with all the scenes T_T
this chapter is quite sad and touching since all the unanswered questions and mysteries revealed here. you really know how to build your characters ;) well, one more chapter to go!!
Yeahh...it was my intention to make the Gwen before and the Merlin now a little bit similar, and in canon, they really aren't all that different. Thanks so much for reading!
And heh, Characterizations the only thing I know how to write well, I think <33
I love this story so much, it really does make more sense now that we know that Gwen isn't dead and she really is hopelessly selfless ayy?.. Also, i don't think any of the fics i've read except for yours have made me like Mordred, but like him i do, and with a passion. He's awesome. i would love to have had an older brother like him (or even my younger brother turning out like him) except for maybe the instatiable sex drive. But, you know, you win some you lose some :P
Maybe Gwen turned out to be a little too saintly, but I couldn't help myself o.o
And I'm so glad that you realize that Mordred has grown. I can't really stand to have my characters stuck in one place, and I wasn't sure if he was capable of growing. XD. Thanks for reading!
This almost had me in tears. (Not helped by the fact that I was listening to Peter Kater's Water Ballet while reading.) Gwen is so lovely, and my heart broke for Alex, especially when he asked if he could call her Mommy. Also, I really like how much Mordred has grown up through this story. He's still recognisable as the same person, but he seems more mature than he did initially.

I kind of feel bad about what I did to Gwen, but I'm definitely going to make it up to her in one of my future projects xD.
