TTOW!
OMG!!! AMAZING DAY!
So it's 3 in the afternoon and I've resigned myself to the fact that nothing eventful will happen today, well suddenly Kris tells me BJ and Tyler are here, at the lynx stadium. BJ and Tyler, aka 'The Hippies', are the Amazing Race 9's winning pair. Amazing Race 9 is the only season I've ever watched and I only watched it because of the Hippies. They're so cool and nice and awesome, I love them.
Anyway, so Kris and I went down, bought the cheapest tickets we could get for the game, and then quickly got in line to see BJ and Tyler. It seemed like half the people there were there to see BJ and Tyler, and really had no interest in the baseball game going on outside. That doesn't surprise me. At 6:40, BJ and Tyler left to go throw the first pitch of the game, so I went to take pictures of them. I got some high fives as they were leaving. So when they came back and we got there we got a picture with them and we were quickly pushed along. I only had time enough to tell them how cool they were and Tyler told us we were cool too.
Upset that I didn't get to say much, we sat at a table right across from them and waited for the line to get shorter so we could get another chance. I felt kinda stalkerish, but whatever. So we eventually got back in line and waited again. This time we had a plan. Kris gave them my camera turned off, so while they fiddled with it, we got to talk to BJ and Tyler. I called Jen and asked Tyler to say hi to her, it was funny. Tyler also said he liked my outfit, which made my day. Kris asked to get a silly picture this time. Bj says, "Hey Tyler, we're taking a silly picture," and he picks up Kris and flips him upside down. After that I got to tell them how I was cheering for them from the start and how I think they're so awesome and amazing. They also personalized out autography thingies, which they didn't do for the rest of them. Then we got hugs from both and went on our way.
About to burst with glee, Kris and I finally went outside to sit down and watch the game half way into the 7th inning. We left at the 9th inning to go get spots in the restaurant where BJ and Tyler would be doing a question-answer thing after the game. It was awesome. We got to talk to them again and get more hugs. We asked them if they'd lose their superpowers if they shaved off their beards. Those guys are soo nice.
So it turned out to be a very good day after all. BJ and Tyler are my heros and they're great guys.
