Ok, here is the news!
In the last week we have had a couple prayer meetings, worship meetings, bible studies, get togethers, and the like. During that time we have gotten deeper in the relationships we have made with the students here in Guadalajara. We have began presenting clear presentations of the gospil to these students. I am excitted to say that several have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Last week we had a little party to watch the World Cup (Viva Mexico!). During that time some girls had a very intense spiritual conversation. Two accepted Christ that day. Please pray for Ely and Mari.
The next day Chris and I were at the University. I met with my friend Felipe. We presented to him the four spiritual laws. Afterwards he prayed the prayer in the back, and said it felt good. He also said he was excitted to share with his friends. Please pray for Felipe. Also recently Felipe's grandmother has just died. Pleas pray for the family!
Since then we have gone deeper with other friends and have tried to encourage the Christan students we have met here. I am happy to say we went a neat church on sunday that had a FANTASTIC worship service. It was very refreshing to sing loudly to the Lord! You don't know how many people worship in this world every sunday morning!
Tonight some more great things happened! We had a prayer meeting, like every monday. I envited my new friend Alzaga. He asked if he could bring his brother and his brother's girlfriend along. As we began to pray Alzaga turned to me and asked me (in spanish), "can you teach me to pray?" So I showed him. I told him it was simple talking to God. To thank him for what he has given you. And to humbly ask for his presence and help in your life.
After the prayer meeting, I took Alzaga, his brother, and his sister outside. My friend Jarod was there with us. Together we all read through the four spiritual laws. At the end of the book they prayed the prayer and accepted Christ. It was amazing! They are so passionate to learn. Praise God for all the people who sowed for this harvest.
After the prayer they had so many questions. They wanted to know if they should be baptized again, even though they were baptized as babies. Me and my team answered their questions to the best of our abilities, and we gave them directions to a church. This church is having a youth group tomorrow, I hope they make friends there and find a good place for spiritual growth. Please pray for Alzaga, Micheal, and Mari.
Other prayer needs: Please pray for the team. We need Unity. Please pray for Katie and I, being a leader is difficult. We still are very new to the whole thing. I miss you all and I hope to come soon in a couple weeks!
In the next week we will be doing a lot of team building and a lot more gospel sharing with the friends we have made here. Pray for open hearts! After that we are going to the beach for some time of debriefing and focusing on the Lord. After debrief we return to Guadalajara for graduation. We are going to see a couple of our friends graduate! Then a party to say goodbye to all our mexican brothers and sisters! And finaly we head home...
Thanks and God Bless!!!
