So I’ve had a shit load to post about recently but haven’t felt like sitting down and typing at my computer so Im going to try and bust this all out in one quick session:
I got
the boot last week on Friday. I had to pay 740 dollars in unpaid parking tickets. It was hell. Let me tell you right there and now that there IS a hell worse than DMV….and that is the parking violation office. There was an armed guard who made him self more than useful in the removal of two people in the single hour I was there. I hate that place with a passion.
So that definitely cut into my finances. I was a little worried I wasn’t going to be able to make rent. I had been saving up money but 740 bucks is an entire months rent (if you include the cable bill). I was talking with a coworker about who I might call to ask for money and how I HATED asking for financial help and he replied “Don’t go calling you’re mommy to bail you out yet, you have three days until rent is due and things will find a way to work themselves out.”
Sure enough I went to an H and R block and did my taxes. The reason I didn’t do them myself was because H and R block has a rapid refund thingy so I get my money back instantly. My credit was approved and I got the refund and I’m not stressing anymore. Howard was onto something: “things will find a way to work themselves out.”
So with that taken care of I was already set to have a good week.(well I guess not getting the boot in the first place would have set me up to have a BETTER week but whatever.)
I skated with a bunch of people at LA high over the weekend which was rad (wtf…rad doesn’t show up the the Microsoft word dictionary?) until we got kicked out by the po po….the fuzz….the five-0……the pigs….the “insert euphemism for law enforcement officer here.” Whatever. I’m over it. On the topic of skating, I FINALLY got off my lazy ass and went looking for the Wilshire rails. I knew they were within this three or four block radius but had never stopped to find them specifically. The ten and….is it 16 or something? They really aren’t that big, and Department did a damn good job of cloning that rail. The real one is a little steeper and a little longer but still really close. And yeah if I gave a damn about handrails, I would even hit the 16 its so mellow.
So that was my week up until today. I went to work and that was cool. Afterwards I went to the Chiropractor and he hooked me up! He used a million different tools and gadgets on my ankle. I don’t remember the name of all of them but I know he used a cold laser and an ultrasound machine among others. So that really did wonders to my bad ankle. For the first time in a while I went and skated without and ankle brace and wasn’t scared of fucking anything up.
So yeah that was my week. I’m sure I’m missing a bunch of stuff but whatever. I have a really good idea for a blog later….but I’ll post it…uh….later.
