Schnauzer in a Box Suit! [UPDATE (sad)]

E-mail from the NJSRN: "Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescued Miniature Schnauzer! You mention that you are interested in adopting either Riley or Jean. Because these two came from a puppy mill in western Pennsylvania, I don’t believe they would adjust well to city life. ... We will keep your application on file and consider your home for a dog that would do well in the city."
I'm pretty annoyed and disappointed by this news, even though I understand where they're coming from. Thing is, because both of us work exclusively from home, the dog would have nearly constant companionship and daily access to various parks. I feel this isn't being taken into consideration.
