Meitantei Conan | Detective Conan | Case Closed
Summary
Thank you for offering to write in Detective Conan! Both gen stories or stories with pairings would be loved, but in the case of the latter, I'd appreciate it if only pairings that somewhat appear in the canon are included (Ran/Shinichi, Mitsuhiko/Ai, Kogoro/Eri, etc). Any ratings are fine, but please avoid sexual content with under-aged characters. I'm up to date with the anime, but not the manga, so please warn for spoilers past episode 686.
I love the mysteries in the series, and trying to solve them alongside Conan is one of my favorite parts of the series. I would especially love casefic that has either Ran or Ai taking the lead role as "detective."
I also like the close friendships that appear, so examining those relationships would be lovely too, Ran and Sonoko's or Ai and Ayumi's especially.
I'm also interested in future-fic speculation. ("The Stranger from 10 Years Later" OVA is one of my favorites). Does Ai stay de-aged, or does she somehow restore herself to her original age? How do Ran and Shinichi end up?
For Ran, I'm particularly interested in her home life, and the way she relates to Kogoro, Eri, and the two of them together. I was pleasantly surprised to see that Detective Conan deals with a divorced/separated couple (it's surprisingly un-idealistic for a children's show in that sense), and I'd like to see more of how that has affected Ran and why, for instance, she ended up living with Kogoro instead of Eri. (Plus, Ran's continuing efforts to get them back together is adorable.). I also like, as mentioned, Shinichi and Ran's relationship. I like how they're always thinking about each other in the background. Plus, they have some really moving moments (the end of Movie 4). I also think Conan getting jealous whenever he misinterprets Ran's actions to think she's interested in someone else is hilarious (ex. Episode 32).
For Haibara, I love how she interacts with the Detective Boys and the contrast between their behavior (they're surprisingly competent, but they're still noticeably children) and her own. If you want to deal with the unrequited love polygon with the Detective Boys and Ran (Genta and Mitsuhiko like Ayumi, who likes Conan, who likes Ran! Mitsuhiko also likes Ai, and does Ai have a crush on Conan or is she just a giant troll?) that would be lovely too. I'm also interested in how she navigates the difference between being in a child's body. (And has she always been a troll or is this a new phenomenon, a way to fight against the powerlessness of being in a child's state?!?)

Naruto

In general, I like stories with the ninjas on a mission. I'd love to see them fighting, scouting, exploring new parts of the world, sneaking around information gathering, etc. I also like it when platonic friendships and familial relationships are explored.
For these characters in particular, I'm especially interested in the Hyuuga clan dynamics. Both the characters are rather blank slates, and I've always found it interesting when authors use them in order to explore various aspects of the clan - the dynamics between Main and Branch, between the clan and the village, between the clan and other clans, the individual clan member and the larger clan identity, the traditions of the past and the changes in the future, etc.
Related to the above, but specifically for Hinata and Hanabi's mother, what happened to her? Is she still around? What was her marriage like? (Love match? Arranged marriage?) Was there anything political in having two children, given what happens to younger siblings?
For Hanabi, where is her place in the clan in comparison to her sister? (Who is the heir?) How does she end up in the future, and what does that future look like? What is her relationship to Hinata, Neji, Hiashi, and the other characters?

Austin & Murry-O'Keefe Families - Madeleine L'Engle

Summary
I absolutely adore Madeline L'Engle's Kairos books, both for the wonderful characters and fantastic ideas. So, I am sure I will love anything you choose to write about.
I love the fantasy aspects of the books, especially how they incorporated science. So, do Meg or Polly (or even better, Meg and Polly) ever go on another adventure? (I can only think of such nerdy things as making slight nudges to change events using the power of quantum mechanics and the uncertainty principle! Or something equally lame, but I'm sure you could do better.).
For Meg, I've also always wondered about Meg's life as an adult. In An Acceptable Time, Mrs. Murry guessed that Meg had so many children because she didn't want to compete with Mrs. Murry. Certainly, it seemed unexpected that Meg didn't become a mathematician/scientist, unlike her parents or Calvin, given her gifts, and I was wondering if Mrs. Murry's idea was true, or if Meg herself had a different reason. Did she decide to raise a family over a career, or did she just get caught up in the busyness of having kids? Does she intend on resuming a career later after her kids are grown? Or does she still work on mathematics, even if she doesn't have a faculty appointment anywhere (mathematics being one of those fields where one needs less institutional support)? Mostly, I would love a story that looked at how Meg decided to approach the balance between career and family.
For Polly, a lot of the books deal with her while separated from her family. However, I'd love to see fic that placed her within the context of her immediate family, and looked at what it was like. What was it like having so many siblings? Moving around so frequently? Did she ever have mommy (or daddy) issues, the way Meg seemed to? I'd especially love it if you showed how she interacted with Charles Wallace, since he never did show up in the books focusing on her.
I'd prefer to have gen, as in, I'd prefer a story that doesn't center on romance. (If you do want to write a romantic story, I'm sure I'll love it anyway. Just please stick to the canonical married couples, since I do quite like Meg/Calvin and Mr./Mrs. Murry together.) Background pairings are absolutely fine, though. For instance, having Meg and Calvin discussing her choice of career and how it would affect their marriage/children would be more than fine. I'd also prefer if the story has no graphic sex or violence.
