The fiber-based crafts covered everything from havesting fibers from both animal and plant sources, spinning them in usable yarn and thread, and making the final product. There were plenty of ugly bolts of cloth, rugs, and articls of clothing made by the end of the week.

"I guess I could ask around." Kem shrugged.
"What about your cousin, Kem?" Sray asked. "Her husband went here, maybe she did too. Have you written her yet?"
"Well, no, I guess I should! That would answer my question wouldn't it?"
Kem's cousin did go to Engama, it's where she met Sherod Kalden.
Suddenly she was moving fast and it was very bright.
"Hold it, Sray!"
She came to a sudden stop. It was a construct. She pushed against it, rolling into her back and found herself on a firm cot, which the construct had just barely prevented her from falling completely out of. Blinking at the ceiling she tried to figure out how she got there. Turning her head she scanned the room, she was in the infirmary. There were a half dozen people in there with her, watching her with a range of concern and curiosity.
Silfiya DeTowr was the closest. "Can you hear me, Sray?"
"Tay, yeah, yes. Yes, I can hear you. I-" she went to move her hand, but her arms felt like lead, but she was too tired to worry about it. "What time is it?"
Silfiya exchanged a look with Danrick Mishor and said something Sray couldn't understand. Mishor nodded.
"It's been three days since the fire." Silfiya said.
Sray's eyes got wide and she half sat up before falling back again. "Het, three days!" She managed to roll to her side. "The fire, the fire! What happened? Everyone got out okay?"
"You stopped it and everyone is fine." Silfiya said.
Things started to feel a little clearer. Silfiya was there, and Mishor, Illendis and Serrith stood behind him. Kem was propped up asleep in a chair. The head physician, Desta Jedowrin(?), was frowning at them and fretting with her fingers.
It finally registered what Silfiya had said. "I did what?"
"You stopped the fire."
"That isn't possible."
"You put it out before the construct was a quarter of the way up the wall."
"I can't, I tried, it was too big."
"You did."
Sray shook her head.
"Before you go any further we really need to see if Ms. Hillenbohn would like anything to eat or drink." Desta Jedowrin said.
