Fogged Mind

I don't have a good memory. I mean, I do about certain things. Usually meaningless trivia. Events in my actual life I tend to forget. For instance, one of my earliest clear memories is riding to kindergarten in the car with my Mom and for some reason saying "Fuck!" Of course, she was like "where did you hear that word?" I didn't know. She told me not to say it anymore. That was fine with me, I didn't even know what it meant. I told her I would make up a new word to say instead: "Frak." That is how I remember it, anyway. But, I just read this article talking about how "Frak" is becoming a widespread word. Apparently, it was created as a substitute cuss word for "fuck" on the original Battlestar Galactica and is enjoying renewed popularity with the new Battlestar Galactica. That is exactly how I used frak. And, I was a huge Battlestar fan as a kid. I used to watch that show religiously and dress up like the characters and pretend to have laser battles and stuff. Obviously, I got it from the show. My mind conveniently forgot to remember that part, though. I have been taking linguistic credit for something that wasn't mine for years.
