For Jules

Ok. For starters, here is my first posted poem. It was to Jules Acceta, someone that I admired most, and one of the people who inspired me to write poetry. Actually, I wrote a random poem about my friend Seb Augustine as an example of a deep poem for another friend, about 10 minutes before Study Hall was over. When Mr. Greene my History teacher caught me with a poem in my hand I read it to the class and everyone liked it. Jules asked me to write one for her while Mr. Greene approved. So I wrote a poem. Note that the first part is for her; the second part was to even out emotions and balance the poem out.

A bright image shines softly before my eyes.

What do I see?

A goddess, dressed with diamonds and pearls.

Sapphire symphonies sung; the sound she makes.

Her ruby lips, crafted to conceal forbidden sinfulness.

A golden body, burnished and polished with passion.

Pygmalion could not match more.

But underneath the silver lining,

What else do I see?

A child weeping without security.

Wild wailing, screeching for forgiveness.

Ripping hair, grasping the air, she suffers from untold truths,

Her whole being misinterpreted and misleading.

Truly society has created their perfect image.
