Ahoy there, loyal readers. In addition to my usual excuses for inactivity, I can now add that the Librarian and I went three weeks without Internet in our new home. As I no longer have that excuse, and I love me some Earth Day, I'll finally do a bit of catching up.

I ended up wearing the same Spongebob underwear for the duration of the trip, and I bit my cheek at dinner.

Other than that, I couldn't have had a better trip Up North with the Librarian.

The Boy and I wanted to take in some local redwoods after voting on Tuesday, so we visited Roy's Redwoods Open Space Preserve just up the road past the polling place. I don't regret my marriage with the Wife, and I don't regret dissolving it. None of that makes it suck any less. When the Boy sees me step through the door, he comes running up to me. I hunker down, and he swaps the "ranger hat" from my head to his, and back to mine, and back to his ... for a good three minutes, minimum.
