So I'm sitting here at work with nothing pressing to do. Sure, I have a few files that I could close and/or work on, but they don't need to be finalized until the end of August. Besides, what am I going to do tomorrow morning if I do them now?
Okay, so my job isn't always the most intellectually stimulating, but it does leave me sitting here realizing that I should update more often. I should really do this at work because when my boss comes in my office, he can't see my screen and he thinks I am working. At least that is the theory.
Anyway, a lot has been going on in my life, but I will limit it to one topic: new house! YAY! Doug and I closed on the house not too long ago (Monday, July 3, to be specific) and things are going well. There are a couple of biggish projects we need to get done, but that will be handled soon enough. I just want them done NOW, which is, of course, not really in the cards. The chimney needs repointing, for example. That's something Doug and I can for limited cost, but we have a friend (really the friend of a friend who we've hung out with a couple of times) who offered to do it for us. He's a maintance guy at our former apartment complex. I'd like to call the guy, but I don't have his number. Our mutual friend does, though.
Okay, so I'm boring. Sue me. More later.
