work, work, work, work, work, work...
Holy crap, I've been having to work a lot of hours lately. Last week I was sick 1 day, and I still managed to work 45 hours. Today, alone, I had to put in another 13+ hours, and still have the rest of the week to go.
It's times like this that being salary really sucks. But, it could be worse, I suppose. There's been talks of cutbacks and layoffs if we can't keep our expenditures down this quarter.
Hopefully, if I work my ass off through Thursday, I will be able to get out Friday to hang with lincolnpardox when he comes out here for his visit.
Most of the laborious crap is done, I just need to do some major filing to get all my 2007 and 2008 files put in my closet, now that maintenance has reinforced the floors to support my weight and the weight of all those damn boxes of paper.
btw, whatever happened to this paperless society of the computer age? I swear, the only occupation that uses more paper than mine is attorneys.
