Gangs, in my opinion, are a reflection of the filth of society, and the lack of social evolution. Anybody who must go out and seek asylum in gangs in order to escape the peril of their daily lives are truly sad individuals who hardly gain the satisfaction of my recognition of actions. Severe consequences and a serious amount of psychological help should be dealt to any individual caught in gang activities. It is very easy to see how teenagers out of all the age groups are on the rise in relation to gang activity, because otherwise they have very little power and/or influence within society; but their choice of being involved in gang violence to voice their opinions is a sign of weakness. Only the weak are worthy of demoralizing themselves by performing violent acts and mindlessly promoting their ignorance. Our government must issue increasingly strict laws on gang activity to teenagers, because their youth is no excuse for committing such acts. Gangs, in general, are a disgrace to our constantly evolving society, and are not receiving enough retaliation from our government.
