Just...Wow...
Everything's as ready for the sale as its gonna get. Spent more of afternoon continuing search of job listings. Never heard the cell phone ring downstairs, ended up noticing the new message sign when I wandered down for blood -- 'scuse, coffee -- transfusion.
A company I interviewed with about3 weeks back called, left message I couldn't quite decipher (combination of his accent and our weak signals at home). I left a quick reply on his to call the house number and went off to a couple more tasks.
When he called, it was to ask if I could start this coming Monday. Coming up, I am finally back to high-travel electromechanical installation work! 3 1/2 years of minimal patience have finally paid off!
Among his questions today was if I have a passport. I already knew part or the job entails work in Canada as well as the rest of North America; today he adds that occasional training will be at the company's manufacturing facilty in Italy. REALLY looking forward to that! Sure beats Ricoh's excursions to New Jersey!
Also looking forward to spreading my Wheresgeorge.com addiction as I travel around...
