Motivation actually hit this week. I have cleaned the computer room, it is now completely organized, which is the first time since before we moved in 6+ years ago. (The previous occupants, and those before them, had left a bit of a pile in the adjoining crawl space...)
Not to mention, the cellar is also cleaned as well as the shed out back...
The cause of this miracle was last Sunday. I decided at one point I didn't have quite the gas to get one more town in checking for a half-reasonable price. I stopped at a station to get at least some; while there, decided to walk into the store for a coffee, since that is always my next stop.
As I walked in, I noticed a flier on the door advertising a tag sale to be held next Saturday nearby. $20 / space, all money for space rental being donated to the American Cancer Society.
Space size is not defined, the facility has a large side yard, just get in early and take as much space as you need. That according to the contact person there. A later drive to the site confirmed her estimate that the yard could easily accommodate 100 vendors.
Spent every night this week cleaning, organizing and pricing all types of stuff. (Except for last night -- went to VT to visit parents. Good time for the break.) One side of the garage is loaded with boxes and large items to sell; the other side has our pop-up gazebo and several folding tables, and the far end is about a dozen or so bags of trash to go out. Booked a small U-Haul van for early next Saturday, and told a few people that also have stuff they want to clean out. Several of the larger items should sell for enough to cover the space donation and van, and the smaller stuff is priced as cheap as possible; profit to come from volume.
Otherwise, continually in the search for lasting gainful employment; have strong possibility at a Kimberly-Clark facility not too far away. (You gotta see these conveyors and systems. Continuous flow making 500 boxes of Kleenex per minute!) Several other options more on the wait-and-see status.
