Whatta week!

So much has happened since my birthday last May 5. :D

Inasmuch as I wanted to write everything down, I simply couldn't because of all the other things happening every day. Finally, I have some time to myself to update.

1. Surprise Party

Even before my birthday, my friends had organized a little surprise birthday party the week before. It was, at the very least, overwhelming. Still makes my heart swell to even think about that night. :) We had pizza, taiyaki and cake (of course)... but most of all, we had each other's company, despite the busy schedules and all. /tear

2. Weekend at Rizal

Last weekend, we went to Yo and Mo's Farm Resort in Tanay, Rizal. It's a private resort, very relaxing and very peaceful. I particularly enjoyed how the place was able to make everything meet-- on one side you have the comfort of your house (DVD marathon all day! Clean bathrooms, YAY!), and on the other you have nature just waiting for you to take a step into it (We hiked that afternoon and had fruits fresh from their trees).

At some point, I was pondering about being left there, considering changing my career path and just residing in the area if ever they needed an extra helping hand to watch over the place. I honestly wouldn't mind waking up every morning to the sound of birds and having to do Cinderella chores and eat fruits straight from their trees all my life.

Of course, wishful thinking always ends as that-- wishful.

3. May 5

On my birthday, I decided to go to work/ school anyway. As I do every year, I try to treat my birthday as an ordinary day... only to be surprised by how many people remember and how many wonderfully serendipitous things happen as the day progresses.

For one, since it was the Starbucks Rush Hour promo, a good friend of mine treated me to lunch... and that's despite the lining up! Later on, I got to catch up with a lot of friends whom I hadn't heard from in a while. And to end the day, we got to eat at a restaurant which I thought had closed already... it turned out that they had changed the management, but the menu was more or less the same.

I blame that restaurant for horrible cravings which were left unfulfilled because I thought that they would never open again. If you wanna try out this place and see why I'm being so vocal about food (of all things), it's now called "Chinese Restaurant" (formerly Hu), and it's along Aguirre Ave. in BF Homes. It's right near Little Quiapo and the Pergola Mall area. I guarantee, you will not leave that place unsatisfied. OoO

I always order the Noodles in Black Bean Sauce. But for days when I want something spicy, they also have delicious Jjampong (it would help to say you like it mild because the regular order can leave you crying)

Anyway, that's it for now! Til the next update. :D
