"NO!" Stephan giggled from Joy's arms. "WE jumped!"

Kurt crawled up to the window and gave Sal a peck, then yelped as a small water bubble hit the wall above them and drenched him. "You saw that coming?!?"

"Yes," Sal said with a grin. "I noticed. But no, I didn't see the..." She snickered as she looked at her now-wet husband.

"I still says ye deserved it," she said, chuckling.

"Ach! There's only vone thing that can heal this breach betveen us! I have to hug you!" He bamfed inside and came at her, arms outstretched and eyes twinkling.

She blinked and stepped forward, hugging him timidly. "Are you... okay?"

He chuckled as the water trapped in his shirt squished out and drenched her. "Ja, fine, Leibe, vhy do you ask?"

"WET!" said Wolfen.

"Your theatrics seem cheesier than normal," she replied, completely aware that she too was now wet, but appearing completely nonplussed.

"You like cheese." He grinned, then remembered what had started this whole rodeo and looked out the window at Joy.

"Vhat?" Her ears perked.

"You vere jumping off the roof vith our kinder?"

"Well," Sal said lightly, "she was holding them tightly, I'm sure..."

She shuddered. She couldn't have done it, at least not without a stiff drink to prepare herself.

Joy flew closer and caught the windowsill with one hand and winghand. "There's nary any danger save that they might wind up stuck if they try it on their own."

Sal remembered her foray into jumping into the air here and relaxed. "Right," she said.

"Still, that doesn't change the fact that it scares the @#$@% out of me."

"I willnae do it nae maur," said the winged woman softly.

"Aww," piped up Stephan's little voice.

Sal shrugged. "Well, if they don't mind, and if it's safe... Just don't ask me t' come 'long wit' ye, 'cause I won't."

Kurt nodded in agreement, his expression thoughtful. "Leibe, vould you be alright today if I vere to take Stephan on a little exploring trip?"

A little guy's bonding time, was the unspoken thought.
