WOT - Vacation, part two.

Sal smiled widely from where she hovered over Kurt, watching his face intently.  He looked as though he was asleep.  Her limbs felt heavy - as though at any minute her arms would give way and she would faceplant right atop him.  The room was an eerie sort of quiet; something was tinkling softly in the background.  That and her own pulse were the only two things she could hear.

She didn't want to get up just yet.  She flopped backwards against the pillows, stretching out and yawning.

Laziness permeated the room; the perpetual daylight, soft as it was, broke through a creak in the heavy black curtains that covered their window and shined right across where the two of them lay.  They hadn't bothered to turn down the curtains around their bed when going to sleep the night before, and now there was a lamp bouncing up and down on the nightstand, turning itself so that its bright light was shining right in her face and looking very pleased with itself.

She groaned and rolled over slightly, hiding her face in his chest.  The lamp persisted.  She growled.

"'m not gettin' up," she complained, reaching for the blanket and pulling it up and over both their heads.
