So summer is coming to an end, and I re-enter school near the end of September. This is good, but I just saw my tuition and fees for Fall alone. It's going to cost me 3000 bucks. (2000 if my waiver goes through). EWU is double tapping me in tuition. I get one tuition cost of 1000 for the 5 credits of the Applied Tech courses.... and the 2000 cap for the 10 credits of electives. I'm going to have a hell of a time paying for tuition. Financial Aid won't help me being that I'm on the GI Bill. So I'm going to look for a job. I found a great position earlier today. Only problem is that I may not get the job due to school. But we'll see. I do meet all the qualifications, if not exceed them.
Entered a short writing contest this week. So far, my rank sucks. 59 out of 88. Could be worse I suppose. I read all the entries, mine isn't winning material, but I would prefer to have a higher score. My guess is that early voters went in and voted things down to beef up their entries. The voting scale on the site is 1-10. If you spelled everything correctly, have good grammar, then you should recieve a minimum 6. Despite mine being perfect for both, I was sitting at a 4.3 late last night. This is what leads me to believe participants are voting people down. Scummy tactic. But, I am now sitting at about 5.3, and going higher. I usually score between a 5 or 6. As long as I get that, I'm happy.
