Barkley and Booze

So my mom and I went out and visited the local Dachshund Rescue. While there, we say a lot of animals. We picked out a couple, but those couple were climbers and we have a small fence. So they were out (but they were really working the 'love me' angle). But this one guy, who remained much more mellow during our stay, came over after all the animals played their 'love me' angles, and sat on our laps. Daisy didn't snarl or bark at him, which she did to all the others. In essence, this dog chose us. We didn't choose him. So we adopted him.

Within a couple hours, we were over at Grandma's, and this mellow pup started to show his personality. He loves to play ball, though he's a bit on the drooly side. He also rides in the car well. Just sits on my lap without making a ruckus. He heels when I tell him too. (If you haven't figured it out yet, he considers me to be his master. Follows me all over the house.) Well behaved, and adjusted quickly. Daisy still gets along with him, and he's been an absolute joy.

Also in these last couple weeks, I've started a home bar. I've got pretty much every liquor and liqueur I need to make most drinks. I'm just short a couple things. Been trying different mixed drinks, found some good ones, and some not so good. Tara considers me a decent bartender.... which is good, right?
