Lots of stuff has happened in the past few weeks, most notably being that my parents have officially sold their house; they close in August SEPTEMBER. I mean I knew that it was coming. I knew that the house wouldn't be theirs forever, but it's still a bit of a shocker that in a few weeks the home that I grew up in will be lost to me forever. The building will no longer have it's doors unlocked to me, the trees no longer scaleable by my feet but by some other family.
From what Dad has told me, the new family has three sons; a four year old and 2 year-old twins. This means that a complete family set is going to be the age of Annalisa and Valentina, which makes me happy. Annie has promised that I will always have a spot on their couch so I can visit Jersey but it will still be VERY strange to not be able to walk next door and slide onto the couch in the living room and pop on HBO.
It strange that safe for Annie, John and the girls I don't have many ties left in Jersey. I mean
starseed128is still living there, as is a whole mess of other people who I'm tight with, but the real constant was my parents. Without them in Jersey, will I be going down as often as I was before? It's doubtful and it will make it harder to keep in contact with Annie and John but I will try my damnest to not let them drop from my life.
Not sure when I'm going to go down and say good bye to the house, but it'll be a long day when I do…
