Religion and how I got over it

Once upon a time I was a Christian. Sorta. I went to church every Sunday, I went to Youth Group. Yearly I would go on Church retreats to various places. Every night I said my prayers and went to sleep.

During my high school days I started toying with the idea of paganism. I bought a few books, read about it and generally thought it was pretty nifty (I mean, hey I got to be a witch!). At the same time I continued to be active in the church and youth group. I learned a lot then and eventually became the Vice President.

In the end I got over being Christian and settled on being agnostic.

Years later, I still get the Church bulletins, mainly so I can kinda keep up on whats going on with people.

Today I received UMAction flyer thing. I opened it up wondering if their views on gays had changed.

They haven't and they are actuvely trying to get a transgender minister (female to male) out of his pulpit.

I'm kinda sick right now and incredibly sad.

HOWEVER the Foundry United Methodist Church in Washington, D.C. is recognizing same sex unions. YA!

religion, ranty, queer
