Jelous time!
Well I have just been over in Cambodia and it was possibly the MOSt amazing and inspsring time of my life.. no jokes.. ok so there were a few in jokes on the trip, that nowe i can't do cause none of my friends will get it! doh.. oh well
singapore we did a city and sentosa island, night safari and botanic gardens. then to Cambodia - Siem Reap Angkor WAT (1st bad pun from ten-wolde) sunset (beautiful) and to beatocello concert for kids hospital (my future career place, im serious!!) Next day was full of temples... Angkor WAT sunrise (wow!), elephant ride round Angkor Thom, then to lunch and balloon ride over angkor WAT, then to Ta Prohm (tomb raider temple) then back to Angkor WAT to actually go all through it and up stairs that were at an angle of 75... and in the past 6 months 3 people have fallen off and broken bones :D hehe but fun
Next day was.. uhm... artisans place then out to Tonle sap boat ride , visited a school on lake and the village was beautiful amazing etc. then to landmines museum :( v sad the guy who told us a bit about it was MY age and lost his leg at 10.. crazy stuff.. then it waasss..(quick look at pics to remember) then it was fun at the markets and tuk tukd to hotel.
then flew to Phnom penh and went to lunch then to Tabitha foundation for a talk from the leader - Janne Ritskes. it was the history and some of the stories of some people who work for her. very sad.
Next day = house building.. took an hr to get to the village and about 3 hrs to bhuild the house (ie hammer walls and floor in place.. hard hot work though. lunch then 2nd house (morning was 4 groups arvo was 3) then photos with families n houses. abck for massage and dinner at fcc (foreign correspondants club)
Killing fields (horrible) and s21 next day then to world vision projects
orphanages (x2) and markets and attempt at royal palace cept it was closed... oh well.. had a fun last night in Cambodia
flew to singapore.. then to auck... SLEPT
