jorge cham came to MSU this evening to give his 'power of procrastination' talk. for those of you not in the know, he is the creater of phd aka piled higher and deeper, a comic about grad student life.  it is very accurate as well.  i have felt everything that gets made fun of in the comic.  in any case, his talk really focused on procrastination and why we do it.  it was essentially what i talk about when i go to the counseling center.  however, this felt different because it was a big lecture hall full of grad students, all laughing about how stressed out we can be and why we put off work and it was coming from someone who'd just recently gone through the process...the comic was created out of procrastination.  anyway, it was really good and if he comes to your school, i highly recommend going.
