A couple of sites

Hey guys, a couple of things. The first site I have come across is an excellent site and it is new to me. The site is www.congress.org and no it is not an official governmental website (.ORG not .GOV). The menu on the left hand side of the site is a link to "MEGAVOTE", if you follow that link it gives you the option to enter your zip code and email address. If you sign up what it will do is for every week that the legislature is in session they will email you what your federal representatives are going to vote on, what they have voted on, and how they voted. Also, when you're signing up it gives you the option to select five areas of interest to you and it will email any information that is posted to the website about any local activity pertaining to your interests.

The second site I want you guys to check out won't quite have the mass appeal but I'm sure that a few of you might like it. The site is www.glo.state.tx.us/offshore and yes, it is my agencies website (the Texas General Land Office). Not only is there some interesting information about a ground breaking project here in Texas, but if you watch the webcast you might see someone you recognize in the front row. ;-)
The webcast conference is a little long, but it does have a wealth of information in it.

Well, that's it for now. Until next time.
