I'm working on a campaign in Valhalla, NY. I'm not allowed to talk about most of it, but it's an interesting setup, to say the least. All of the people involved seem to operate in the same capacity, so it makes delegating and cooperation kind of difficult. Also, some of the upper management has grown, and some of the new people need to work on their communication skills, which is understandably frustrating. I miss some of my other coworkers, but I think it will be good in the end. Like Philly.
Anyhow, the state of the union was tonight, and I found it incredibly inspiring. John Boehner, the new speaker of the house, was comical to watch. Obama wasn't perfect, he is a man afterall, but, again, it was incredibly inspiring, as well as rejuvenating.
I was riding down the road with Jenn at this late hour, after a few beers (on my part), with the windows down in this cold weather. Even though my stomach was uneasy, and my ears in pain from cold, I felt a nice sense or happy wash over me. Between the bad music and the dark road, it was incredibly calming, especially after how hectic the start of this campaign has been. I'm hoping it settles down, but still. Calm! Happy! I dig it.
Lots of love, LJ. I downloaded an LJ iPhone app, so hopefully we'll be seeing more of each other in the near future.
