In a hole in the ground there lived a Hobbit....

This weekend and next, Playhouse in the Park in Murray, Kentucky, is going to be showing The Hobbit.

I really want to go. I love all things Tolkien, and, even though it is an amateur production involving a bunch of middle school and junior high kids, I think it would be a blast.

There is, however, a problem. (Isn't there always?) Wynne DawsonRead more... )

Local productions are cool.

I say if you want to go, go, but don't do it BECAUSE you want to see the girl, do it because you legtimately want to see the production. Because if the parents ARE there, then you have to be able to honestly tell them that you were drawn because of the production, and did not at first know about her being in it.

As well, you do run the risk of having the two of them really pissed off at you. Then again, you guys might be able to talk. I dunno.

Well, I would be going because of the production. I heard that they had done the show a couple years ago, and I was sad that I hadn't gotten to see it.

I think I'll go tomorrow, if I get all my work done. Maybe I can get Jason to come with me.

I agree that you should go. And I think you should go because you want to and because she's in it. Wynne may be happy you came, and the chances are, you'll not be recognised.

What role is Wynne playing?

I'd be the kind of person that brought her flowers... every girl deserves flowers when she acts in a play. JMHO, though. I hope you enjoy the performance.

I had already thought of flowers, actually. Last time she was in a play (The Music Man), I got her a dozen roses.

I would love to do that this time, but I'm afraid her mother would not approve. And who knows what she's been telling Wynne about me.

I'm not sure what role she's playing. I'm not exactly on the inside track any more, and the advertisement didn't say....

I'm hoping Gandalf. I'd love to see her with a long beard, bushy eyebrows, and a big hat. :-D

Go and have fun. Don't live life dreading on running into others. Just put your shitfaced grin on and go about your business. You can't change the past just look forward to the future. By the way Tori is so pretty. Growing up fast.
