""and I can assure you...they are false."

Last night at the AKPsi meeting the pledges brought in their required guest speaker. He was someone's grandfather and had a long list of impressive professional titles. He talked for a long time and had a lot of funny international business stories. Near the end, he told us all about how he financed Lou Pearlman's music studio in Florida and therefore financing the Backstreet Boys, Nsync, and Britney Spears. He told us how the Backstreet Boys can't sing (big surprise) without the help of the studio and the first time he heard them sing he thought they were out millions of dollars. After he brought up Britney he said, "and I can assure you...they are false. I was the CFO and signed the check." It was pretty funny.

Anyway, I should be at dance right now but I'm feeling pretty shitty. This is the second month in a row when my period has been so bad that I can't keep food down. I went to work, started to get that not-so-good-feeling in my tummy along with my cramps. I barely made it to the end of my shift and then rushed home to throw up... twice. Not good. Having excruciating cramps: bad. Having excruciating cramps and not being able to keep down medicine: downright awful. I had some ramen and the Tylenol has kicked in so I'm feeling better, but jostling my tummy around in dance was out of the question.

Jesse has been sweet. He's the type of guy you have to poke and prod to get up in the morning. When I'm not there he has two of those loud, obnoxious alarm clocks. This morning as soon as I mentioned the cramps he jumped out of bed to find his heating pad for me. Then he made me toast. :) He's at class right now but told me to think about what I want (I'm thinking lemon eegee) for when he gets done. I could get used to this.

Tonight I'm supposed to go to the pledge cocktail party and then bowling at bedroxx for the big bro / little bro competition. Tomorrow is homecoming, P.F. Changs is catering. YUM. Saturday night is supposed to be date night so who knows. Sunday I'm working at this Culinary Festival from 7-10pm. So much for rest.
