So, I know this is a meme that originated on Tumblr. But I never use my Tumblr for anything other than following things I like, and not to post my own shit. So. This is going here instead.

THE 30 DAY METALOCALYPSE MEME
Day 1. When did you first learn about Dethklok? Did you find the music or series first?
I found the show first, in about Fall of 2009. I was a wee freshman in college, and I needed something on my TV while I was doing my work late. Just anything in the background, for noise. This was back when the weekday lineup had Robot Chicken, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and Metalocalypse. I mostly Ignored ATHF (nothing against it, just not my thing. Yet.), but I was watching the show at a time where new episodes of season 03 were coming out, so there were commercials for episodes like "Tributeklok" and "Dethhealth."
To be honest, at first I was terrified of the show. I didn't know what I was looking at half the time. Getting curious about "Dethhealth" didn't help (OH GOD THAT ENDING SO MUCH ACID). Buuuut my curiosity was piqued, so I looked up some clips and episodes on Youtube and [adult swim] and I found myself oddly compelled.
TL;DR I was basically scared into submission by the show.
